NEWSPerforma Kicks-Off Jewelers Mutual Ground BreakingJewelers Mutual Insurance Company broke ground on an expansion and renovation to their existing facility located at 24 Jewelers Drive in Neenah, Wisconsin. Performa provided the planning, architecture, and engineering, and Immel is hired as the general contractor. Both Performa and Immel were hired to create a Design-build project delivery.
The project scope consists of a 4,000 s.f. renovation of the current facility that incorporates a new full prep kitchen and a Servery. The expansion consists of 14,000 s.f. and is highlighted by two major spaces. The first is a large Cafe' dining facility adjacent to the aforementioned kitchen and servery and the other is a large, 300 seat Conference Center. HLA business interiors provided the interior design while Stewart Design Associates provided the kitchen and servery design.
The expansion portion of this phased project is scheduled for completion in late 2008, with the renovations scheduled for mid-2009.
This is the second opportunity Performa and Immel have had to team up in a design-build approach for Jewelers Mutual. The two firms worked together on a previous expansion and renovation project in 1997. It was Jewelers' intention to join the two companies together again to deliver this exciting project. The original building was constructed approximately 30 years ago.
